I started my February attending the 25th Annual International Blues Challenge (festival) in Memphis on the 5th, 6th, and 7th. It was awesome. My dear friend Chuck had invited me to come for all of The Blues excitement. I had never been to a Blues Festival and the range of music was mind-blowing. I am sharing a "taste of the Blues" with you here. If you are a "Blues lover" you will really enjoy this. If not, it will still speak to your soul.

Until I hit town for the I. B. C. (International Blue Challenge), I only had a clue what "Blues Ch'i" was all about from a visit with Nancilee Wydra, founder of Feng Shui Institute of America, when I stopped by her home in Clarksdale, Mississippi, a couple of years ago. Our whole group of people that came to Memphis for "The Blues" from Jacksonville, Fl. and Atlanta, GA. stayed at a wonderful 177 year old mansion called The Inn at Hunt Phelan on Beale Street. Blues Ch'i is unlike anything else in the world. It is just so cool. Competitors came from all over to "strut their stuff" and play the soulful sound of the "Blues". I simply loved it. The 177 year old mansion called The Inn at Hunt Phelan on Beale Street has a huge history of distinguished visitors, including Presidents Andrew Jackson, Ulysses S. Grant and Andrew Johnson. It served as Grant's headquarters during the Civil War, hospital for the troops and also has the original garden planted by Varina Davis while her husband was attending to government affairs in the library.

The millions of dollars they have spent renovating make The Inn at Hunt Phelan a superb place to stay when you are in Memphis. It is absolutely fabulous. They have tied the elegance of the past with an elaborate decor. Hunt Phelan won The American Society of Interior Design National Award as well as 18 other restoration awards. As they say at Hunt Phelan, "You simply must see it to believe the ambiance that is The Inn at Hunt Phelan." It will make you think you have traveled back in time to a more genteel moment.

Use St. Joseph to Sell Your Home... It's a Miracle...

I have clients that have incredible luck with St. Joseph, with only one home taking about 9 months to sell. Offers for about 1/3 of my clients using St. Joseph came within the first month. Most moved within 60-120 days they have told me. That would be about half of my clients that tried St. Joseph.

The other half felt they did not have luck with St. Joseph, but some of them also buried him upside down and one lady, buried him backwards... plus, with what I know now about The Secret, attitude is also a huge factor. People that have little faith have a tougher time believing in a simple statue of a Saint to bring the Real Estate sale to them. The old adage of "Oh, ye of little faith" applies here. With the economy being what it is, I suggest trying this whether you believe in it or not. What do you have to lose?

I do recommend getting a St. Joseph from the religious book store or online, (see link to page http://stjosephstatue.com/trad.htm for the tradition, and http://stjosephstatue.com/letters.mv for testimonials or http://www.stjosephstatue.com/kit.htm to order one.), and burying him laying on his back, as though he was being carried feet first to the curb, and close to the For Sale sign would be great. Having great faith and extending it to actually believe this is going to happen, raises the Ch'i tremendously and also the sales possibilities, as it does in manifesting of all kinds.

Power Feng Shui Staging for Real Estate Sales... Empower Your Sale

In this last year I have begun to do Feng Shui Home Staging for Real Estate sales. I would be happy to come for an hour visit or two and give you ideas regarding "on the spot" recommendations that would help change the Ch'i and get it flowing immediately towards the sale. What we see on display when we live there is not at all what the perspective buyer sees on a walk through. Everything is critical, placement of your art and furniture is particularly critical. Even though the perspective buyer will not have your furniture it helps them to just "see what it will look like with furniture."

Home Staging for Re-Sale is a stream-lined version of Feng Shui to prompt energies to "lift" quickly by using the Elements with the Art & Icons on display, and considering the Colors present in the Home's energy. It sends out a stronger set of Ch'i signals to the Universe to "Come Here Now." That brings the 'sense of interest' that pulls the perspective owner towards the location. This is exactly what you need for a quick sale and to be freed to make your own move to a new location.

Clients seem to do well, as things improve for them in their own personal lives once the staging is complete. The feeling in the home of course changes immediately so that it is empowering the client during the time of the completion of the deal. I have had a couple within the month sales but usually the 60-120 days seems to rule.

BAD FENG SHUI: Never Buy a Foreclosed or Repossessed Property.

People are all seeking a deal. We want to save money and get the very best price. Several months ago I was in the home of a Ft. Worth couple that were incredibly pleased they had made a huge deal that saved them tons of money on a foreclosed home. It was in the best neighborhood, upwards of $750,000 they told me and they got it for about $200,000 less. They believed the deal was the very best one for them.

Recently I went on a Power Feng Shui Real Estate appraisal for a young Chinese couple buying a new home and expecting their first child. The first thing they told me when I got out of the car was "This house is not a repo or a foreclosure. There is no bad luck if we buy this house, from buying other people's bad luck."

The Chinese have been familiar with Feng Shui disciplines and customs for over 6,000 years. They know exactly what to look for, all of the ups and downs of the home's placement, the lands' topography and geography, money running downhill if the land runs down to a lower level than the home sits upon, and so many more critical issues regarding the Feng Shui and the perspective new home and location.

Buying into someone else's misfortune is basically agreeing to receive the identical luck into your life. It is a form of transference of the energies the home contains, from the previous owner. Poverty, illness, bad luck will all transfer is the ancient Chinese Feng Shui belief.

My Ft. Worth clients had already bought their home. They did not ask any questions about the foreclosure. They were thrilled. They were completely unaware of the money troubles they have bought into.

The Chinese couple on the other hand, knew exactly what to avoid when buying a home. There will be a huge difference in their success in their new home as opposed to the Ft. Worth clients that bought "bad money luck" when they made their foreclosure deal.

Everything that looks like a good deal isn't necessarily the case. Remember that when you go house shopping. Select carefully. Ask questions...Why did they move? Did they get a divorce? Did they have medical problems? Did they lose their job? Did they experience misfortune while living there?

Even if it is a killer deal, you don't want the bad karma killing your future prospects, options, and money making ability in the home of someone that failed in their lives, in some way.

Dead end streets also bring "dead ends" into your life in many ways. You simply never get what you desire to achieve, as everything becomes a "dead end" for you. Not good Feng Shui.

Sound silly to you? 6,000 years of Feng Shui from China has been working right along to keep the practice of Feng Shui alive and well, and bringing people harmony, balance, and peace, joy and love, career advantages, plus abundance and good health. There must be something to it. Discover it for yourself.

Protect yourself from "bad money luck" by NOT buying someone else's bad luck. You will not be sorry.

Red Stones Bring Good Luck from Heaven

Ancient Feng Shui traditions say that by finding 9 red stones, one of the lucky numbers of Feng Shui, (8, 9, or 27), and placing them in the garden just outside the entrance to your home, that the Universe will recognize that you are using the color RED to send a Cosmic Ch'i signal as a request to Heaven for emergency help with money and good luck to come to you.

In the January EZine http://powerfengshui.info/EZine/0109.shtml I shared Fresh Flowers Bring Uplifting Ch'i Energies. Well I have enjoyed my lovely tall square (Earth Element for grounding) rectangular (Wood Element for New Growth) vase with several arrangements since my birthday last month. I decided to bring in the Prosperity energies of the Sea Shells by filling my vase with shells I have collected from Galveston, Anna Maria Island, Sarasota, and also St. Augustine, Naples, Del Ray Beach, Longboat Key, Lido Beach at St. Armands Key, Siesta Key, Casey Key, Venice Beach, West Palm Beach and some that came from Marco Island I received at a Feng Shui Institute of America Conference. Talk about blest Prosperity energies! We are talking BIG MONEY Prosperity locations where these shells were all found on different visits I have made to the Sea.

Remember that "Things from the Sea" have Prosperity Energies. The day after I loaded my beautiful birthday vase I received from my son and his love, I got two calls for Feng Shui Consultations and an appointment for Life Coaching a new client I have never met. Holy Mother Brings Miracles to Heal Families

One client's request with her Feng Shui consultation was for a healing between herself and her adult children. There had been a bitter divorce and everyone took sides with their father as he seemed to be "paying" them for their love by buying them gifts, cars, homes, and helping them with their educational pursuits. This was very hurtful for my client since she had a meager income and could not compete with the mind games her ex was playing with the lives of their children.

My recommendation to her was to find a statue of the Holy Mother Mary, Jesus' own Mother, and place it in the center of the left hand side of the wall in her bedroom. This would be the location for Family/Community issues to be uplifted. Along with the statue, since she was a Christian, I encouraged her to pray to the Holy Mother to intercede with her son Jesus and God the Heavenly Father, for her children to be reunited with her in love and that the truth be revealed to them of the value of not only their mother, but the united family as well.

NOTE: All cultures have a Divine Maternal figure that will work for this type of healing. The Chinese honor Kuan Yin as the ultimate symbol of compassion and family. I heard from my client a few months later with a story of how each child had come to an understanding on their own of how valuable the family was to them. They had all experienced a remarkable healing, as each of them reached out to love their Mother again in a completely different way than before. There was a deeper love and appreciation that had not been there before.

All of this came with just a statue of the Holy Mother Mary and a few prayers. Focus and manifesting works equally well when prayer is combined with it. You will be amazed.

I highly recommend that if you have problems of division within your family and your children are estranged for whatever reason, find a loving Mother figure you can feel connected to place her in your bedroom, on the Left Wall, in the Center 1/3 of that wall, and then lift up your "Pure Intentions" to your Creator with your thoughts, prayers and meditation. You will be amazed at the miracles this will bring for you.

When clients ask for specific needs, I find something that will symbolize exactly what they desire to manifest for themselves. Having a broken heart from the separation of her children through divorce was not what my client wanted in her life. She had the faith to send out her intentions into the Universe, in her case, she sought the Holy Mother through prayer, for the healing to come that she so desperately desired. As God and the Universe would have it...it magnificently appeared for her. Both she and her children were blest because of her "Pure Intentions" and combining her personal faith with them.

If you have a similar need I encourage you to reach out in faith, find the perfect icon for the Divine Holy Mother symbol and use your "force of loving energies" to bring the miracles that you desire for the healing you need. Faith and Feng Shui will deliver it to you. Keep your Spirit "up" and look forward to the future and happier times...they will come for you.

Bring Love to Your Life with Yin/Yang Icons

If you are looking to bring love into your life, you will need to place a set of two (2) icons that represent love to you in the Love/Relationship area in the far right corner of your bedroom. Use compatible icons, angels, stars, hearts, doves, starfish, teddy bears, or anything that would represent the Male/Female energies that are needed to manifest Love for you. NEVER USE A BEAR AND A TIGER...NOT COMPATIBLE. It can be a picture from a magazine or off the Internet of a couple holding hands, walking on the beach, sharing a moment in a loving way that will lift the Ch'i energies of Love to come your way.

My friend "E" that I have Feng Shui'd her home three times now was ready for love. Every time we did a Power Feng Shui consultation she got a better job and home. The third time I went she took me to the bedroom to show me the Love Icon she had been using to "Bring the Love" into being for her life. As we entered the bedroom, in the Love/Relationship Corner, she pointed out a tiny statue of two angels atop a cloud that she had bought to "lift up the love" in her life, that she had placed on top of the end table beside her bed.

At the time she was just about to graduate from the Art Institute in Dallas. Within two weeks after buying the angels with their cloud and placing them in her bedroom, she met another graduating student right there at the Art Institute that had been there for 3 years, two floors above where she attended her studies. He was just studying something different from what my client was so she had never met him....UNTIL....she bought the two angels "on their own cloud" and placed them in her bedroom.

"E" has tremendous positive energies, looks forward to her future, plans for it, and manifests wonderful things into her life. She is "actively participating" with her Power Feng Shui to bring what she wants into her life. Once she decided what she wanted, was ready for it to appear, remember she was just about to graduate from The Art Institute, the "LOVE" manifested itself almost immediately. They married within about 18 months after "discovering" each other at the last few days of their education at The Art Institute. How wild is that?

NEED LOVE? Look around your home for two icons that will blast Love & Relationship signals of positive Ch'i (Cosmic breath of God) into the Universe and bring exactly what you want into your life. Place them in the Right Hand corner of your bedroom, focus on your "pure intention of love" and stand back and watch the love story unfold for you.

Don't believe it for yourself? You don't have to. Feng Shui works whether you believe it or not, whether it is visible or placed out of sight so it is invisible. It does not matter. It works...Why be lonely? It is your choice.
Have some fun with your manifesting. Look around for your icons and use them to bring your heart's desire to you immediately.

A Bride Must Have a Groom Icon or it

will NOT work with Feng Shui...

I recommended to a lady client in Logansport, Indiana that she use Male and Female energy Icons to help her find the perfect love for herself a few years ago. Six months later I visited with her again and she had a picture, cut from a magazine of a bride on every single wall in her house. It was great...only problem...there were no grooms with any of the brides. Brides only did not get the job done.

After asking her what was going on she shared that she and all of her 5 girl friends had decided to "do" Feng Shui for Love and all get married and share in each other's weddings. She went on to say that they had all bought gowns that color coordinated for each girl’s choice of wedding colors, so they could all be in each other's weddings....Talk about planning...Wow! She even showed me all of the bride's maid gowns, in all of the different colors her friends had picked for their own weddings that she would wear to those weddings. They were all ready for the weddings, but alas, not a man in sight for any of them.

She wanted to know why the Feng Shui had not worked yet. I explained that it is necessary, really a "must" for each icon displayed to promote love for both Male and Female energies, within each picture she had on all of the walls. She told me all of her girlfriends had "Bride pictures" on all of their walls as well. No grooms among them....Bad Feng Shui...

I told her I would check with her in six months when I returned to Indiana to see what had taken place after they all added the men to their "Icons of Love displays" and see what had happened. Six months past, I called her and went by to visit. She had changed every single Icon Image into a "loving couple" complete with wedding apparel. My next question was "What happened?"

She laughed and said they had "all met someone" since I was there and two were engaged and one was already married. She, herself was going to be wed in just a matter of months to a great guy that had just shown up in town and she thought she had just met by coincidence...RIGHT! With Power Feng Shui, there are NO COINCIDENCES, ONLY RESULTS.

The friends were all joining together with their "Pure Intentions" for each other to create a huge energy field of Love and Marriage, once they realized they needed the grooms. What a hoot! I had never seen a mass manifesting of Love and Grooms in my whole Feng Shui career since 1995. It was just so much fun.

Looking for love in all the wrong places? Try manifesting it right into your own Sacred Space and reaching out to the Universe to signal those Loving Ch'i (Cosmic Breath of God) energies to come forward for you immediately. What do you have to lose? Sitting, wishing, hoping that love will come along and sweep you off of your feet is simply not enough...DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT WITH POWER FENG SHUI. Find those Love Icons that will work to do the job. These ladies used pictures out of magazines. How hard is that?

Mercury in Retrograde is like having Full Moon madness going on for about 3 weeks time, every single day.

Long ago I wanted to deny it, ignore and refuse to acknowledge it. Well guess what...it just kept right on showing up whether I denied it or not.

You will think you are crazy, or that everything is falling apart mechanically and electrically, emotions run so high and people are so angry and agitated, car troubles appear, people walk off jobs they have been on forever and don't know why, deals fall through (Don't sign any legal paperwork during this time), and an avalanche of hassles show up. Just relax, delay starting new projects or concepts and wait it out. It will end soon.

Full Moons and Eclipses act exactly like this. The tides control the energies of the earth and since we have such a huge percent of water in our body chemistry, see Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_water we are affected whether we live near water or not.

During these times I get a lot of phone calls wanting to know "What is going on? Everything is wrong."
Relax, stay calm, do leisurely activities, keep your stress level as low as possible. It will change.

Henge II... by Thomas

To my great pleasure Alex asked if I would write a follow up to last month’s article on the building of my backyard Henge.

Last month I told you why I built the Henge, and the raising of the primary standing stones. Now I would like to give you insight into what it took to finish and live with my backyard Henge.

The next day after the stone raising I realized what I thought was the end, was only the beginning of a mission that would take me years to complete.

As I walked into the circle, it spoke to me. The barriers are not set for the summoning. I realized summoning the Elements now would leave me venerable, an unacceptable situation.

Elements are mid-level spirits according to abilities. Angels are good Elements, are good and bad. Demons are evil. Demons should be avoided if your sanity and your soul mean anything to you. Remember even Solomon fell.

Elements are the things of folk lore. Known by different names in other countries, we call them fairies, dwarfs and the like. They can bless your crops and make your milk cow go dry. Make you futile and steal your baby. But they are not all powerful like Angels and Demons. They can only work within their Element.

To summon any other world being without a circle, be it Angel, Element or Demon is folly. The mere presence of the beings is more than most can bear.

The first thing I did was carve an Awen (pronounced ah-o’-o-en), the three bars of light, emanating from three dots surrounded by three circles on the lentil stone. It is one more example of the ever present trilogy. Next was to build a permanent circle around the stones. An open Henge on the plains of England is fine with me; I just don't need one in my back yard.

Not being a stone mason, it was far more difficult than I thought to build the rest of the Henge. It was also labor intensive. Digging out the sod and putting in the sand base, took me several weekends. Hauling and laying the stone took several months.

Having no plan I built as I was led, ending up with three circles, two outer and one inner, with a flagstone floor. The first ring encompasses all the stones. The second ring intersected the stones; the third circled the Heel stone.

My wife and I decided to add two more layers of stone on the rings. You guessed it. We made flower and herb beds. This turned out to be quite beneficial in the overall use of the Henge. When I am not using it as a magic circle the flower and herbs make a very peaceful place to sit, on one of the four stone benches inside the circle.

So the Henge turned out to be not only a “Point of Power,” but a peaceful place to sit, or have a gathering of friends. Another bonus is the neighbors don't think I am quite as crazy as they thought I was.

One more thing before I end. The Henge is a powerful place. Not to be taken lightly in any respect. It is beautiful to look at, a wonderful place to sit and entertain guests. But above all it is a “Point of Power”; it is a bridge to the netherworld where dwell beings that can give you help and happiness, or steal your soul, your sanity and life itself.

Magic can be fulfilling for the prudent, and a potential disaster for the uneducated or misinformed. So study well before you jump in. The water's warm, but very deep.

Holy Ch'i Protection Icons Stop Negative Ch'i Impact

The entrances to your Sacred Space are portals of entry for the Cosmic Ch'i (The Breath of God) to enter and bless your home. Unfortunately, negative influences sometimes come uninvited with people's attitudes, angers, and agitations that arrive with their visits to your Sacred Space. By placing Angels, Holy Crosses, or a Star of David above the entry doors, on the inside of the home, or in close proximity to the entrance doors, you are in effect positioning Holy Icons of Protection to dissolve that negative Ch'i.

The best negative Ch'i buster I ever had was a small 4" tall mirrored cross that was a Christmas ornament I found at Hobby Lobby on sale right after Christmas. I bought two and used one above both the front and back door of my home in Indiana. The mirror reflection in the Holy Cross acts as a "bounce back" to the negativity that may show up. There is a wonderful peace there because of those two Holy Crosses guarding the outside entrance doorways.

Find Angels, Holy Crosses, Buddha’s or whatever is Holy to you and place it directly above the entrance doors of your Sacred Space. It will do a great job to break up the negative Ch'i and send it back to where it came from. You will notice a difference immediately.

Bells & Red Ribbon Signal Heaven

to Come Protect Your Home

Ancient Chinese Feng Shui believes that by placing bells on the inside of each outside door of a home, attached to a red cord (ribbon) that this will signal Heaven to come here now and protect the inhabitants of that home from thieves. It is further believed that if a burglar is in the area and looking towards your home that they will feel it is too secure or powerful to break into.

Using 3 bells of the ancient Chinese tradition offers a blessing for Heaven, Earth, and Mankind. 3 is lucky in Feng Shui. Christians know things happen in 3's called the Trinity, for Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Many cultures honor the use of 3. It is known as a Universal law that occurrences happen in 3's.

Here in America we always notice that things happen for good and bad in 3's. You will have 3 good things and then 3 things that aren't so good that happen. Even celebrities seem to die 3 in a week.

Get some inexpensive red ribbon at Wal Mart or a fabric store and cut the end in a diagonal so it will slide easily through the bells. Leave some extra so you will have the length to tie it onto the door knob and clip the excess if you like. The bells can be found where you buy the ribbon. Any kind of bells will do for this to symbolically bring Heavenly Protection to your home.

You will notice that I used bells of many colors in the shape of a cluster of grapes for abundance energy. All of these colors invoke the Feng Shui energies on the respective colors of the bells. Having bells on the door knobs also warns you when the door is being opened which is also good if you don't have an alarm system to buzz each time someone opens the door. Every time the bells ring it is also a Chinese Feng Shui tradition to believe that the bells break up the negative energies that may be entering your Sacred Space.
