In the March 2009 EZine http://powerfengshui.info/EZine/0309.shtml#Arty I spoke of having a stained glass art exhibit of my own work at my local Library years ago when I lived in Florida. When I visited sunny south Florida this April, I stopped and took a few photos of my hometown Library so you can see the beauty of this wonderful setting, I enjoyed so often when I lived there. It is on a small waterway where you can sit behind the Library and enjoy the lovely sunshine and the feel of the water in the air, and the sound of the waves. I love the "Tropical Ch'i" of Florida and the peace it provides.
If you are traveling down I-75 and come upon the Sun City/Ruskin exit, take the exit and enjoy seeing this tiny fisherman's town from another century. The locals love it and work to keep its friendly charm alive today.
Bahia Beach ... Little Harbor Ruskin, Florida
A great place to visit is Bahia Beach Resort, Little Harbor there in Ruskin if you want a lovely sunset experience, a drink to celebrate today or a lovely leisurely dinner with a loved one. It is well-kept and enjoyed by locals and tourist alike for the beauty of Tampa Bay's waterfront looking across the Bay to St. Petersburg.
On the 4th of July celebration after dark you can see fireworks exploding all over the City of St. Petersburg, or St. Pete as the locals like to call it. It is an exquisite Freedom celebration and lifts your "Patriotic Ch'i" to a new level. The reflection of the streaming fireworks mirrored in the water and the smell of gunpowder will make a wonderful memory of one of the most unique 4th of July fireworks displays on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
No traffic jam. No parking problem. Just sitting at twilight time with your loved ones, sipping a cool drink in the July humidity and heat, enjoying your freedom. God bless America. God bless our troops. God bless us each and everyone.
Sunsets - a celebration in Florida every single day by both locals and tourist alike. Toasting the sunset is a huge tradition here. Many residents and tourist gather on the beach to see the "Green Flash" - the moment of sunset. Great show and a good time with new and old friends. Valerie & Howard live just a few houses down my back service access alley in Texas. I often pass their driveway on my way home. Just recently, a mini explosion of Blue Bonnets occurred beside Howard's driveway.
Howard & Valerie went to the trouble to select the seeds and plant them. Sharing the beauty blesses both the passersby and the gardener that knows the joy of seeing something you have planted bloom.
It takes such a little effort to grow great beauty and nurture them.
Blue Bonnets and Indian Paint Brush flowers signal us here that Spring has Sprung and all is well in the world.

It is simply lovely to drive down the street and see wildflowers blooming like crazy.
This garden started as an activity for their toddler son and has just taken on a life of its own over the last four or five years. It is just a little spot of Heaven on our street.
Natural beauty and it saves mowing. Wow! It could not get any better than that. Save energy. Plant wildflowers.

They show up just prior to Easter in early Texas Spring and cover the sides of our highways thanks to Lady Bird Johnson and her commitment to wildflowers and their joyous natural beauty, when she was America’s First Lady so long ago. We have all enjoyed her desire to “pretty up” all the highways across America with those wildflowers that grow naturally inside of each of our States.
Today, 45 years later, we are still enjoying Lady Bird Johnson’s “Wildflower Vision” for America. As we drive across our country today we see wildflowers growing everywhere; it brightens up our roads, and just plain gives us a “lift” to see them.

I especially want to send a thank you to Valerie and Howard just down the alley. Just by passing by and seeing those great Blue Bonnets has “lifted” me up in spirit and thoughts many times. A few days ago when it suddenly turned 38 degrees and rained for 4 days I purposefully drove so I could see their Blue Bonnets in the rain. What a delight to see them as God was watering His Earth. Thank you, Valerie and Howard, for all of your care and protection you have given to “just a sprinkling” of Blue Bonnets. You will probably never know how many people you've made smile with your Blue Bonnets. I know I have many times.

The City of Richardson, TX. is unique in that it plants springtime wildflowers in their medians. It saves the mowing and when driving through Richardson it seems like a trip through a flower garden. Fairhope, Alabama does much the same thing. The richness an beauty of the plantings welcome you to the town in a very friendly intimate way. Let's copy and improve on that.
These lovely Irises are Valerie and Howard’s neighbor’s contribution to brighten our access alley. How regal and independent they appear. Iris was my Nannaw’s favorite flower so I had lots of experience as a child learning to “dig” the Irises. My favorites are the “cross breed” or variegated blending of colors and plants as they grow together into a new union of color and elegance next season. It is always a surprise what will appear with a little effort. Much like life, if we just try to do something, our lives bloom as well.
TIP:
Springtime is our time of new growth and fresh hope as we see the flowers blooming all around us and begin to feel the surge of Spring's own motivation simply everywhere. Plant some flowers or buy some and display them where you can see and enjoy them to lift you and your loved ones or guests up into a great mood. It is practically impossible to stay overwhelmed, sad, or depressed with beautiful blooms of nature exploding right there with you, in your Sacred Space. Lift yourself and others energies by sharing your flowers as well.
TIP: Some of the best flowers you will ever see in a flower bed just might be artificial silks! A trick of the Orientals.

The 3 part folding screen in the receptionist area brings the 3 Fold Blessing. Ancient Chinese Feng Shui would say it is for (1) Heaven, (2) Earth & (3) Mankind. In America we call it "The Trinity" or (1) Father, (2) Son & (3) Holy Spirit. There is a Universal Blessing in the number 3 and often good things happen in threes, so this 3 part folding screen is a good luck icon for this entrance.
In Sherry's office she has displayed many of her awards for superior achievement in her real estate career. Displaying any credentials or awards for service or achievement in the center of the left hand wall of your office as you enter each space, locates your own personal "Icons of Excellence and Success" in the Community/Family Area energy field. Since her business is Real Estate, it literally is Sherry's "Work Community". With much of her "Work Community" she is actually serving families to assist them in the buying and selling of their homes, which, in turn, is their personal Community/Family energy.
She has a light in this area also symbolizing her ability to "light up" real estate success in Community/Family energies. These icons are placed here also to inspire credibility in her expertise as clients and perspective clients easily see them on display when they are working with Sherry here.
A green plant , (Wood Element) on the corner of her desk means growth in Power Feng Shui. This icon creates fresh growth in her business, which means the green of fresh money as well.
The Red walls of the Conference Room "fire up" the energies with the Fire Element. Red in Power Feng Shui brings Fame, Recognition, and Future options to the business. Red also adds excitement. Buying a new home and all of the client's dreams that go with it is very exciting. This color is used perfectly here in this location of the office.
The more informal part of the office is divided by changing from more formal Red to a more intimate warm Prosperity & Good Health golden tone of paint. Stained glass lamps and other touches act to add warm opulence and elegance to the decor. Stained glass brings an elegant feel to these offices. The candle on the table pictured above also symbolizes adding Light and illuminating the energy on the far left hand (front corner) of the desk, the Wealth/Empowerment area. When you sit at your desk you are sitting in your Career/Self/Destiny area. The far right hand side would be Love/Relationships and would be an ideal place to locate family pictures, which acts to increase your credibility with your clients.
The walls and the kitchen cabinetry are also done in tones of Gold for additional Prosperity/Good Health.
This antique style hall tree and coat rack brings an traditional family feel to these offices. The Black (Career/Self/Destiny) file cabinet contains forms and paperwork pertaining to the Real Estate business and is of great use of lifting those energies to a higher level. The tall rectangular shape reflects the Wood Element for additional growth. The decorative plate icon uses Red (Fame/Recognition/Future energies and the Orange candles bring a double Fire Element to "fire up" the business.
The elephant bookend icons with the trunks "up" are extremely good luck from the ancient Chinese Feng Shui customs.
TIP:
Never buy or display an elephant with the trunk down. It means bad luck comes to you.

A Formal Hindu Wedding
When I arrived to set up at the Dallas Psychic Fair on April 5th there was a huge wedding celebration in progress at the Holiday Inn Select on LBJ/Josey Lane. The Ballroom was fully decorated for a formal Hindu Wedding, complete with a large gathering of people all dressed in their finest wedding costuming. It was breath-takingly beautiful and a wonderful insight into another culture.
Having never seen any of the ceremonial attire and decorations I asked if I could take photos of the wedding decorations and the wedding party. Here is the story of this wedding as I saw it that day. I wish the Bride and Groom all of the happiness life can bring.

Many clients over the years have asked me about Ouija boards and none of them has had a positive experience. Many report having a feeling of darkness like an oppression present in their homes after playing with the Ouija and bad luck seeming to happen right afterwards. I do not have a Ouija experience so I could not comment on this from a personal viewpoint. Thomas has had first hand experience he will share with us.
Again, always, always, in all ways be very careful of allowing any form of negative spirit to enter your body, your mind, your spirit, your home, your family unit, your friendships, just anything pertaining to you. Always pray to ask direction to confirm these things, should you feel them. Thoughts of Thomas: Ouija Boards Warnings
Have you ever played with an Ouija board and wandered where all those strange and sometimes uncomfortably accurate answers come from?
Well, let us look at how most people use the Ouija board. It almost always starts as a parlor game, something to entertain you, or a cool way to keep a party going. Then you start to wonder, if it was right on that question then would it be right on something I really want to know?
At that point the game has changed, whether you know it or not. The Ouija is no longer a game; it becomes a portal, an entrance to the netherworld, a place where deception and distortion is the rule not the exception. Truth is there, but seldom obtained easily. So I would like to relate some of my experiences with the Ouija. Take what you will, dismiss the rest as the rambling of an old man.
My first experience with Ouija came at an early age from my perspective. My older sister bought a Ouija board when I was nineteen or twenty. She had seen it at a party a few days earlier, and thought it was fun so she bought one. She and my younger sister were quite good at it. I was not, it would rarely move for me, no matter who my partner was. Still I was intrigued by the mystical board, and we played until it got wild and started throwing the planchette off the board. At that point we decided it was of the Devil and quite playing. We all had a good Christian upbringing.
It was thirty three years later in the winter 1997 that the Ouija and I crossed paths again in a meaningful way. By that time I was no longer in awe of the talking board.
Having experienced more spiritual encounters, than anyone would have thought one person capable of surviving with their sanity, I believed I could handle whatever the board could do. I was eager to take on the board. It was a hill I had wanted to climb for some time, but as I have stated earlier Ouija won’t talk to me. We all don’t have the same talent, even simple ones.
My son and his family had moved in with me and my wife while waiting on their new home to be completed, and we had been doing some past-life regressions. The results were interesting, and sometimes startling. In a way they mirrored our interests in this life. But that is another story. Past-life and out of body experiences are something we should go into in greater detail later.
So back to the journey we were on. I went to that Mecca of the occult Wal-Mart and bought a talking board. It seemed like a natural extension to the path we were on.
At first our sessions were no different than anyone else. The same answers I remembered from my earlier experiences. You know what I mean if you ever used the Ouija. My name is Bob or Harry etc, and then I’m your guardian Angel. Next it might try a past love one, don’t be deceived. It is more than likely something like, Asmodeus or Pleiades in all its many forms. If you’re really unlucky, it could be Beelzeboul the Prince or King of Demons. These are all names from the Grimoires (Grammars of Magic) of Solomon, (yes Solomon was quite a wizard) but there are many, many others. They are called by more than one name, according to the culture and time. They are masters of chaos, their purpose is to get your trust while keeping you confused, and to keep you coming back. If you’re not careful you will not only trust and believe you will come to depend on the board, and in this lies the danger of Ouija.
I don’t remember when I realized I wasn’t bullet proof, but I know I didn’t know it then. I am not sure I know it now, because even today what’s over the next hill still deserves a look. In the old days I would charge any hill without thought of the ramifications. So I charged.
After several days of lies and ambiguity I decided to take a more scientific approach. We wrote down all the questions and answers we received. From that I compiled a list of questions each of us wanted to know.
We asked the same question several different ways and with different people on the planchette. Keeping close record of all the answers, some answers were consistent while others were inconsistent to one degree or another. I was sure then and still am that I was getting more truth then fiction. I began to see patterns in the answers. I could not wait to talk to the board again, I asked more than my share of questions taking more and more of other people’s time. I knew it but I couldn’t help it. The dates given matched the clothing I was wearing in my past live and out of body experiences, I knew I was close to validating my magic. Nothing else mattered to me.
In so doing I drove away everyone but my wife (she didn’t like having anything to do with it) and my daughter in-law, and finally they quit. My desire ruined it for everyone and that was probably a good thing.
Do you see the pattern and this is coming from someone who knows the risk? Someone who has dealt with magic for many years and should have seen it coming, but the thrust for power is strong. I know I could have gotten more answers, but that would have only led to more questions. More chances to be deceived, for you are never as smart as you think you are.
To obtain power entails risk, there is no other way. When you step on this path risk becomes a way of life few will ever see.
I don’t mean to frighten you, used as a game only there is no danger, but can you overcome the allure of knowing the unknown, even though it may be a lie?
Would I use it again? Yes, if I could but the way is closed to me. I think God knows better than me what path should be open and which should be closed.
Editor's Note: Great wisdom from Thomas. Always pray for Divine protection and guidance before doing any "games" such as Ouija. The stakes are very high and the risk far greater than any gain.
