I am delighted to bring you my 2nd EZine ever, for this July month. I had such good response from you all last month and I really appreciate your support with the electronic newsletter. I will be able to do this monthly and get the word out on new ideas and concepts I have either found in my travels or created, so you may benefit.

Always know what I offer are simply the inspirations for what you may use in your own life. You may be led to use similar but different things by your Holy Spirit and that will work for your needs.

In March and April I was fortunate enough to go to Naples, Fl. for the Naples Orchid Moon Mystic Fair, (see pictures below) and then onto Sarasota to teach Power Feng Shui at Elysian Fields metaphysical superstore. I made it a working vacation and saw my friends in Del Ray Beach and also in Naples. It was lots of fun and I have many new examples of Feng Shui that I will be posting on my www.PowerFengShui.info BLOG or in the Articles section over the next few weeks for you to enjoy the new ideas I have found for us all. I have New Orleans photos that I will be putting up on the site. This was my first visit through there since Katrina and it was amazing to see how wonderfully the City of New Orleans is coming back to life. I happened to be there during The French Quarters Music Festival and it was rockin'. I just loved it. It reminded me of all of the times I have seen Mardi Gras and wished I had been there. This time I was. It was great.

I strongly recommend if you have a chance, GO. You will love it. Be sure and visit Cafe Du Monde (www.cafedumonde.com) for beignets (deep fried pastry squares very similar to sopapillas at El Fenix or any Mexican food restaurant) and chicory coffee. Next door you will find Aunt Sally's Pralines (www.auntsally.com) for the best pralines of your life. This is fantastic sugar high junk food you do not want to miss for those of you that love such things. They are on DeCatur Street just across the street from Jackson Square.


Naples Orchid Moon Mystic Fair

Even the soft drink machine had a Water Element for Feng Shui....I just loved it....

The Light Fixtures had Crystals to reflect the energies and the ceiling fans circulated that energy. Wild!!! Fabulous Feng Shui....

New Orleans French Quarters Garage

On a recent visit to the French Quarters in New Orleans I parked beside a lavender garage door and thought what a great Empowerment color that would be to enter if I happened to live there. Much to my surprise the door opened just as I was walking by. I was stunned to see such a fantastic display of Feng Shui painted on the walls of the garage.

If your garage is your Main Entrance to your home it is always the best Feng Shui if you can use some decorating skills to create a welcoming effect as you open the door and drive in. In this unique display of an incredible mural the regular single entry door has been concealed in the lovely arched doorway that has been painted to appear over twice as large as it really is. The sweeping Black curves are very bold, heightening the energies for Career, Self, and Destiny. The Gray curves are the color used for Compassion, Travel, Friendships, and Mentors. In the background behind the curves a garden scene invites you inside, complete with statuary and lush plants symbolizing new growth.

Lilac, a tone of purple Empowerment wisteria is dripping to create abundance and wealth. A topiary with the Green (Family & Community) shrubbery rises toward Heaven with Red (Fame, Recognition & Future) flowers. A dramatic lion fountain with water flowing provides the Water Element for renewal of money and Spirit. The water flows into a pool of water lilies painted on both the wall and the concrete floor. Water lilies are one of the lucky Feng Shui flowers that draw money to you as well.

Other plants representing new growth are painted on the wall but some extend onto the ceiling creating a wonderful spacious feeling. The Bird of Paradise plant beside the fountain makes a statement about the owner's state of mind. (You can see the doorway reflecting into the hood of her brand new Mercedes.) The parrot with all of the twinkle lights (not on in this photo), is a festive touch for the French Quarters location.

In every room the far back wall is the Fame, Future, & Recognition area for Feng Shui. Anything you place on that wall begins to come toward you or appear for you in real life. Obviously this owner want more of the same to come her way.

This is the absolute best garage I have ever seen. Talk about lifting up your energies as you come home! It is great.

The owner was coming out to leave as I walked by and I raved about what fabulous Feng Shui she had created. She laughed and said "You should have been here last weekend when I was on the tour."

As I pointed out all of the wonderful benefits she had created, she mellowed and said, "Just this once I will let you take a quick peek." I was blown away as she showed me a view of the center lush garden as we entered and saw each of the four glass two story walls fashioned in a huge rectangle. Each
room in the home could view the magnificent center placement garden through the glass. It was breathtaking. The 12,000 square foot home was unlike anything I had ever seen.

I was just shocked she would invite a stranger off the street inside for a quick look-see into her world. Certainly it was a Feng Shui thrill for me.

Later I took a picture of a real estate sign that kept showing up in front of all of the most exotic locations. I decided to just for fun look in the French Quarters section on the Internet and to my surprise found her lovely home listed for $3,800,000.00. What a deal. There was the 1817 garden mansion in all its raging glory decorated to the hilt. I was really feeling blest by that time. It was one visit to New Orleans I will never forget.

The gossip at the Cafe Du Monde was that we are just 3 blocks away from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's new home in the French Quarters. They have bought 2 huge apartment homes and combined them into a spectacular residence on Governor Nicholls Street or at least that is the word on the street. Although it is likely none of us will ever see their home there, the people of New Orleans and even up in Alexandria, Louisiana speak of Brad and Angie as though they were their personal neighbors. They are proud to have them in Louisiana.

If you wish to "raise the Ch'i (Cosmic Breath of God/The Life Force) energies to a much higher level hang some art you no longer are using in the house and enjoy it with lifted spirits as you arrive home each day. Painting the garage and hanging Christmas twinkle lights also lifts energy for Feng Shui blessings. Bring in a potted palm tree for a tropical look and feel if you enjoy the tropics. There is no end to what Feng Shui excitement you can create for yourself if you just recycle art and objects you no longer use in your home. You could even rotate these seasonally if you wish.

Anything you do to raise the Ch'i blesses you with extra special blessings of Feng Shui.

And when you travel, don't be afraid to speak to people and compliment their choices. They might just take you for a tour...


Golden Prosperity and Animal Magnetism

On my 61st birthday in January I decided to give myself a boost of energies in my bedroom. I made a quick trip to the Dollar General store just to see how little I could spend for my Power Feng Shui project and what interesting things I might achieve.

There I found a set of golden (Prosperity & Health) sheets and also a set of leopard skin satin sheets along with a leopard skin set of shams and a comforter. They were so inexpensive I bought all of them. The leopard skin fabric brings an energy of being more aggressive, which is exactly what I want for my career. As I look at my bed each day I will be receiving the energies the leopard skin radiates into the room. Perfect!

I also bought a pot of yellow (Prosperity & Health) tulips in a terra cotta (Earth Element for being more grounded) for new growth.

When I arrived home I dressed the bed in the golden sheets, using the flat leopard skin sheet atop the bed, then placing the comforter on top of it all for a finished faux Neimans/Horchow look. I used the leopard skin shams to pin up on top of the draperies so it looked like I had bought them to match the look as well.

The fitted leopard skin sheet I used to cover an end table, tucking the elastic band underneath so it would not be noticed. I replaced all of my icons and lamp on top of it. It made my bedroom look even more exotic.
At 61 having led a mostly conservative life I figured I could use a little animal magnetism in my life. One never knows how much time is left and I want to enjoy every single day of it.

Buddha sits on my other bedside table but just for the photo I placed him in the bed with the tulips. In contemporary and traditional Feng Shui, Buddhas are used as a respectful icon in homes to bless spirituality, raising the vibration of the deity, and showing honor from those that dwell there. It is a way to bring blessing to that home from the Heavens.

Even if you are not Buddhist, offering a blessing of Buddha, no matter how small, sends a message out to the Universe that you are thankful for the Feng Shui customs you are using to create more abundance, empowerment and good health, plus all of the other blessings that come with Feng Shui.

As soon as I had dressed my bed and table, hung the shams, and rearranged the Buddha and the tulips three wonderful Feng Shui consultations showed up for me within a week. Talk about aggressive....I loved it.

Certainly my clients and I have been inspired by the Home and Garden channel to get busy and reinvent our lives with color, fabric and icons for fresh, fun, and fascinating new looks for our sacred space. HGTV is huge on saving money and even the Dollar General can provide looks you have never thought possible before.

A trip through Neiman Marcus revealed a pricey look I loved but thought could be reproduced on a budget. The shopping trip to the Dollar General Store made it fun and affordable. Besides having a fun and fulfilling adventure on your birthday is always great and I got a new Power Feng Shui look for not just myself, but my clients to consider as well in this EZine to consider. All of us can benefit.

Get out and look around and see what appeals to you. Don't wait for your birthday. Do it now. Take a friend and having a grand adventure. Life after all is a grand adventure, if only you make it so.

Fun and Feng Shui. It cannot get any better for any of us.

Instant Power Feng Shui Abundance, Wealth & Growth

In April I visited with my friend Gerrie Anne in Naples for a few days and we went to a lovely French Deli/Bistro one afternoon. I was delightfully surprised when I saw the instant garden of grapes (Abundance, Wealth, & Empowerment) dripping from the silk plant. The owners had added them to the already existing green (Wood Element for growth) leafy plant as a lovely decorator piece to greet the customers as they entered the Deli. The square shape of the planter reflects a feeling of being "grounded and solid," certainly a feeling the restaurant owners want to convey for their business.

Not only was the food fantastic, the Creme Brulee especially, (after all it was a holiday for me to be there), but the new concept of instant abundance and growth was a delight to find there as well.

Use grapes to represent abundance in your home or office. Things start moving towards a better direction almost immediately. Even laying a cluster on an end table in the living room or bedroom will do the trick. Play with the concept and see what it does for you.


Create an Instant Garden Anywhere You Desire....

As we left the French Deli/Bistro there was a great furniture store next door that we decided to visit. As we walked around the corner we were greeted with this Instant Garden by the entrance to the store.

The fan shaped trellis would "fan" business as it appeared with green (Wood Element for new growth) silk leaves, was attached to the outside wall.

Underneath was a blue (Wisdom, Knowledge, & Spirituality) rectangular shaped pot. The rectangular shape is also the Wood Element symbolizing fresh growth.

The bright red (Fame, Future & Recognition) flowers are about growth as well, using those energies.

You could use this concept anywhere, with real or silk flowers and plants to create the energies you wish to achieve for yourself in your home or office. The possibilities are unlimited. Recycle old plants and freshen up your surroundings. Everything you do in Feng Shui changes things. Try this and see what new options appear for your life.

I was so glad we went to the French Deli/Bistro for a bit of lunch. I not only found abundance represented there but next door another Instant Garden. Create one for yourself. It will be inspiring as well as Feng Shui perfect for you.

This concept is so inexpensive you could even do one for a family member or friend that does not have time or money to grow a real garden. It would make a great gift and bring those Feng Shui blessings to them too.
They would remember it forever. Plus, you will be the talk of the neighborhood for designing an Instant Garden.



Blessing Balloons...

Send Off a Thank You Blessing to God the Creator &
See What Happens For You...You Will Be Surprised.....

For several years when things happen that are good blessings from God to me, I decided that I would
send off a "Thank You" to Him with a few balloons. It all started when I wanted to say a big "Thank You" for something wonderful that happened to me. Saying it in my prayers repeatedly felt like it needed a step up just to show how very grateful I was for the miracles I had received. I went to the store and found a big balloon that said "Thank You" on it. I took my Sharpie marker and wrote a short note on the balloon and signed it "Alex." I went to a place where the beauty of God's landscape was lovely for my big send off.

I said a few words of additional thank you and let the balloon go, watching it float towards Heaven. It gave me a really good feeling to know that I had thought of something fun and meaningful to express my thanks.

If you are going to send God a letter it has to go to where He is. Sending off my balloon to Heaven would surely reach Him I knew. I even had a flash of it floating by His ever-present gaze and perhaps a smile coming to His face for my whimsical thought. He is known to have a sense of humor.

I left and went on with my day and never thought about it again. Within 48 hours business had started coming my way out of nowhere. I was shocked. I did not do it for Feng Shui reasons, only as a thank you.
It was a terrific blessing that God smiled down on me with extra since I was sincerely showing love and appreciation.

That was about eight years ago. Since then I have not only sent off balloons regularly but recommended that my clients do the same if they are "stuck" with situations or budget crunches. Each one of them will report back something wonderful will happen for them after their "thank you to God." It is not always financial. Sometimes obstacles are moved out of their life's pathway or healings occur. It is always a surprise to see what happens with just a simple act of gratitude.

Sometimes I tape my business card on the balloons or write prayer requests for clients that are in dire straights. Other times I just list the names of people I know that really need help that haven't even mentioned it to me. Those seem to get the quickest response. Word will find me that things are better for them and they are so surprised that things have changed. I never mention the Blessing Balloons to them.

of course my beloved favorite Purple (Wealth & Empowerment) colors, signifying my request of God on that day. I was traveling back from Florida, just outside of New Orleans in Baton Rouge and there was a new church building going up and for a good Karma blessing I thought it might be a great idea to stop and pray for their blest futures and release these colors just for their congregation, especially the young people.

They had erected three giant crosses and built a garden to "hold place" for what was to come for all to see as traffic blasted down Interstate 10 towards Houston. No doubt it will be a beautiful and Holy place to worship God someday. I look forward to passing it again on my next trip through Louisiana to Florida and seeing the progress the combined spirits of those that love God have built in His honor.

Directly at the foot of the center and largest cross was where I released my blessing for the Bethany Church of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I don't need to know the outcome or the blessings He sent to them. I know He did. He always does.

I do know I had a safe and joy filled trip. That was miracle enough for me. I loved it.

God is so good to bless and encourage us if we will only build a relationship with Him. A little surprise gift
from us to Him is not the norm. Why not give it a try and see what happens for your life, love, family, job, health, or friends? It is extremely inexpensive and makes a great concept to share with your children or friends. After all sharing a "Make a Wish Balloon" idea with others could be a great experience for creating a new tradition with your loved ones.

My precious friend Kathy lives in Phoenix. She is one of my prayer partners and at least once a month we agree to release a Blessing Balloon to God on the same day. Both of us agree in prayer to hold a good thought for our families, friends, jobs, and whatever pressing need God needs to handle for us. We always see great miracles that appear after we do this together.

I met her in Indiana over ten years ago and although I have not seen her in almost eight years, we still pray together on the phone. Last summer she had a 45 minute layover at Dallas-Fort Worth airport and we agreed to meet just for a few moments while she was changing planes to fly home to Indiana for a visit.

I greeted her with 9 purple (Wealth & Empowerment) balloons and we both laughed. We stepped outside to the parking garage for just a few minutes and laughed and talked like old times and said our prayers together for our loved ones and released our balloons. It was all over in less than 18 minutes but it was a huge tearful reunion for us both.

Within a few days she reported back that not only had she had a great visit at home but work picked up for her immediately when she returned to Phoenix. My work took an upturn that week as well. Our combined love, prayers, and balloons had caused God to smile upon us and we were very thankful for that. The timing was perfect for miracles for us both.

I was attending an event recently and they gave balloons away to all that were there. Afterwards, as I was leaving I saw a young couple I know that is engaged. They had not been there when the balloons were handed out. I handed them my balloon and told them about the "Blessing Balloons" ceremony to thank God. They were very excited and said they knew what to wish for. A few days later I got an email telling me they could not wait to see me and tell me what good things had happened for them.

Start a new tradition in your family of thanking God in a new and fun way. You will be surprised how quickly he answers you back.

Big Money Icons Draw More Money

I stopped at Party City before I left Baton Rouge on the Dallas side of New Orleans on my way back from Florida and bought a package with Grant and his $50. bill and Ben Franklin and his $100. bill in it. I decided to “paper” my tiny office area when I got back just see what might happen.

Within a week I got a $1,250. Feng Shui consultation combining a marina on a small lake and the owner’s home. They found me on my www.PowerFengShui.info site. Wow! Half a dozen consultations appeared for me within a week. I instantly became believer in BIG MONEY ICONS.

Another client from the past suddenly called me to complete her Power Feng Shui as she had finished moving and setting up the furniture and basics so we could choose the best icon options of art and accessories for manifesting her hopes and dreams for her and her son in their brand new home. It was an extremely successful consultation as she had already used so many of the concepts we had discussed before she actually “moved into her space,” and was already beginning to see things happen for her family’s well being, good health and prosperity.

Both of these opportunities came instantly for me as quickly as I papered my office walls with huge fake money icons. Those images of Mr. Grant on his $50. bill and Mr. Franklin on his $100. are definitely my “friends.”

Recently I packed up Mr Grant and Mr. Franklin because I was headed to Indiana for a month to work so I took them to my friends at Cutz Beauty Salon in Duncanville (See Articles on www.PowerFengShui.info) and have left them to post on their walls and see what Big Money Icons do for their prosperity. I am excited to hear about their good luck when I return to Dallas.
